Desk Chair & Office Chair
Office chairs are chairs equipped for the convenience of work in daily work and social activities, with the English term being 'office chair'. They come in various classifications and installation methods, and there are also some quality issues.

Classification: OfficeMate categorizes office chairs into narrow and broad definitions. A narrowly defined office chair refers to a backrest chair used when a person is seated at a desk for work. This type of chair mainly meets the basic sitting needs during daily office work, providing a certain degree of support and comfort to the user. A broadly defined office chair encompasses all chairs used in offices, including executive chairs and staff chairs. Executive chairs are typically used in the offices of senior corporate management. Their design places greater emphasis on luxury and comfort, with larger sizes and more abundant functions. Staff chairs, on the other hand, are used by ordinary employees for daily office work and focus more on practicality and cost-effectiveness.
Installation methods: The installation methods of office chairs vary depending on the model. For example, when installing the 1011A office chair, you need to insert A L screws and place gaskets according to the video instructions, then install the seat armrests, perform initial fixation, and finally tighten the screws to ensure a secure installation. The installation of the 2022A office chair is relatively more complex. First, you need to install the base casters, then use screws J and K along with gasket L to install the chassis. When installing the armrests, you need to use screws and screw sleeves. Each step must be carried out in the correct order and method to ensure the normal use of the office chair.
Quality issues: The quality issues of office chairs cannot be ignored. On March 2, 2023, the United States and Canada initiated a recall of office chairs made in China due to the risk of the backrest breaking, which could lead to falls. At that time, 12 reports had been received, including 10 injury reports. On September 30, 2024, the State Administration for Market Regulation conducted a national supervision and inspection of office chairs and found that 15 batches of products were unqualified, with stability issues being particularly prominent. On January 16, 2025, the United States initiated a recall of WorkPro Momentum office chairs made in China because the bolts might fail, posing a risk of falls. Seven reports had been received, with two people suffering minor injuries. These quality issues remind consumers to choose regular channels and products with quality guarantees when purchasing office chairs.
