Dengfeng Office Chair Maintenance

Admin October 11, 2026

The following methods can be referred to for the maintenance of office chairs in Dengfeng:

Handling and Placement: When moving an office chair, lift it gently and place it carefully to avoid collisions that could cause structural damage or surface scratches. Place it away from heating devices and air conditioners to prevent high temperatures from accelerating material aging; especially for genuine leather materials, strictly avoid direct sunlight or strong light exposure, as this can easily lead to leather cracking and fading.

Daily Use and Maintenance:

  • After sitting for a long time, gently pat the seat surface and edges to help restore their shape and reduce sagging;
  • Keep your center of gravity centered on the gas lift rod when using it to ensure smooth lifting and rotation functions;
  • Regularly check if screws, gas lift rods, and other components are loose and tighten them promptly;
  • Adjust the spring tension of the chair back according to your weight to ensure smooth rebound;
  • Do not sit on the armrests or place heavy objects on them to avoid structural deformation or breakage.

Cleaning Methods:

  • Gentle Cleaning: Avoid vigorous wiping during daily cleaning. For genuine leather materials, gently wipe with soapy water or a laundry detergent solution containing 40%-50% water, rinse with clean water, and then dry;
  • Mesh Fabric Materials: Regularly inspect the wheels and armrests, and replace them promptly if damaged; wipe the chair legs with a cloth dipped in a small amount of oil and avoid cleaning with water;
  • Leather Materials: Gently wipe stains on PU leather with a damp flannel cloth; metal electroplated chair legs require oil care and should not be cleaned with water;
  • Fabric and Leather Surfaces:
    • For small stains, spray with foam cleaner for 10 seconds and then wipe; avoid using stain removers;
    • For dry dirt (dust, sand), gently pat or vacuum; for granular sand, gently brush in the same direction with a soft-bristled brush;
    • For liquid stains (beverages, fruit juices), first blot with a paper towel, then wipe with warm water and a neutral detergent, and dry at a low temperature;
    • For long-term stains, wipe with a 1%-3% neutral detergent, rinse with clean water, dry, and then apply leather conditioner after fully drying.

Other Precautions:

  • Regularly maintain according to the instructions (such as applying lubricant);
  • If the reclining function makes abnormal noises, spray lubricant on the axle or spring; if it is prone to tipping over, adjust the reclining tension to suit your body type;
  • Avoid friction and collisions between the office chair and hard objects to prevent surface damage.
