Deli Office Chair Casters

The installation and removal methods for Deli office chair casters are as follows:

Installation Method
For the installation of the casters on the Deli 4901S staff mesh chair, install the chair wheels onto the chair legs one by one. Usually, the chair comes with 5 chair wheels. During installation, align the metal rod of the caster with the slot on the chair leg and press straight down to ensure that the metal rod is fully inserted into the slot. Some slots with anti-disengagement designs are deeper, so make sure the installation is in place.
Removal Method
- Direct Pull: For ordinary casters, you can pull them straight up. When operating, step on the edge of the chair base with your foot to fix it and hold the caster with both hands and pull vertically. If you encounter resistance, you can gently shake it from side to side to assist in applying force.
- Rotational Pull: Some casters have an internal threaded structure. First, rotate them 90 degrees counterclockwise to unlock the threads, and then pull them out in the same way as the direct pull method.
Precautions
- Protective Measures: It is recommended to wear cotton gloves during operation to increase friction and prevent hand injuries. Check in advance whether the casters have fixed screws. If so, remove them first. Lay a soft cloth on the ground to prevent scratching the floor during the removal process.
- Handling Stubborn Casters: If the caster is too stubborn, you can spray WD-40 lubricant on the joint and let it sit for 15 minutes before attempting to remove it. In the case of severely rusted metal fasteners, you can gently tap the area around the connection with a rubber mallet to loosen it. Avoid forcibly prying it with metal tools to prevent damage to the caster or the chair leg.
- Observing the Slot: The depth of the caster slots on seats of different brands ranges from 2 to 4 cm. When removing, pay attention to whether the metal rod is fully pulled out.
- Regular Maintenance: To reduce the difficulty of removal, it is recommended to clean the hair and fiber entanglement around the caster bearings every six months to keep the casters rotating smoothly.
