Deformable Office Chair Production
For the production of deformable office chairs, three approaches can be chosen based on different needs and difficulty levels: refurbishing old chairs, handmade DIY foldable deformable chairs, or DIY designer deformable chairs.

Refurbishing Old Chairs: This method is suitable for situations where there are existing old and worn-out chairs, such as very dilapidated rattan chairs. First, conduct a comprehensive inspection of the old chair to determine if its structure is stable. If there are loose or damaged parts, repair or replace them first. Then, select appropriate materials for refurbishment according to personal preferences and the overall interior decoration style. For example, if you want to create a minimalist style, you can choose plain-colored fabric to re-cover the seat and backrest. If you are pursuing a vintage feel, you can use patterned leather or burlap. For rattan chairs, you can also clean, repair, and re-weave the rattan strips to restore their original toughness. Finally, perform detailed finishing on the refurbished chair, such as sanding the edges and applying protective paint, to enhance its aesthetics and durability.
Handmade DIY Foldable Deformable Chairs: This production requires certain handicraft skills and tools. First, design the deformable structure to ensure that the chair can be stable and smooth when unfolded and folded. Materials such as wooden sticks or metal tubes can be selected and cut according to the design dimensions. During production, assemble the various components through drilling holes and connecting them, paying attention to the firmness of the connections. For ease of folding, movable connectors such as hinges can be used. After completion, conduct multiple folding tests and adjust the structure until the desired effect is achieved. When not in use, it can be folded up to save space.
DIY Designer Deformable Chairs: Refer to the design of deformable chairs by Dutch designers. First, purchase suitable materials, such as rot-resistant wood, which has good durability and stability. According to the design drawings, accurately calculate the dimensions of each component and perform cutting. After cutting, sand the wooden strips to make their surfaces smooth and avoid scratches. Then, drill holes at the parts that need to be connected and use screws or wooden dowels for connection to ensure a stable structure. To enhance the load-bearing capacity, add crossbars under the chair. Finally, apply wood wax oil, which can not only protect the wood but also enhance the texture of the chair.
