Disassembly of Deli Office Chair
Admin October 10, 2026
The disassembly of the Deli office chair can be carried out according to the following steps:

Wheel Disassembly
- Snap-ring wheels: Observe the part where the wheel is inserted into the chair leg. If there is an elastic metal snap ring embedded in the metal sleeve at the top, it is a snap-ring type. You can hold the chair leg with one hand and gently press down on the wheel axle with the other hand while pulling it outward, using the snap-ring's rebound force to loosen it. If it is difficult to do so by hand, you can use a long, thin pair of tweezers, the tip of an old key, or a flat-head screwdriver to gently press against the inside of the snap ring through the side gap of the wheel. At the same time, hold the chair leg with one hand and pull the wheel down with the other hand to remove it.
- Threaded wheels: If the wheel is a screw-rod structure that is directly screwed in, it is a threaded type. Use a screwdriver or wrench of the appropriate size to grip the screw rod at the bottom of the wheel and rotate it counterclockwise to unscrew it.
- Other methods: For wheels that have become rusty or too tight due to long-term use, you can use long-nose pliers to grip the joint between the wheel and the chair leg, find a fulcrum, and pry it outward while rotating it counterclockwise. Or use a rubber mallet or a wooden mallet wrapped in cloth to gently tap the side of the metal sleeve of the chair leg, using the vibration to loosen the wheel.
Base Disassembly
Use a screwdriver to unscrew the screws on each side of the chair base and remove the base to see the chair legs.
Chair Leg Disassembly
Use a hammer or a hard object to strike the chair legs and remove them.
Pneumatic Rod Disassembly
After separating the base from the pneumatic rod, invert the chair leg and use a rubber mallet to knock out the pneumatic rod. If you don't have a rubber mallet, you can use a piece of wood as a cushion.
Backrest, Armrest, and Headrest Disassembly
Separate the backrest and loosen the screws to remove the armrests and headrest in the order they were installed.
Precautions:
- Pay attention to safety during the disassembly process, especially when using tools such as hammers, to avoid causing unnecessary damage to the chair.
- If the chair has been used for a long time, the connection between the pneumatic rod and the chair leg may be tight, and more patience and strength are required for disassembly.
- If reassembly is required, it is recommended to follow the reverse order of disassembly to ensure that each component is correctly installed in place.
