Dahong Office Chair and Boss Chair

There are models of the Dahong office chair and boss chair made from Hongmu (a type of rosewood), featuring unique designs and high value.

Material and Craftsmanship

Among the Dahong office chairs and boss chairs, some are crafted from Hongmu. For example, the Hongmu Kirin and Phoenix Four-Post Official's Hat Chair is made entirely from old, single-slab wood. Old wood means that the timber has undergone long-term natural aging, resulting in a more stable texture, clearer and more beautiful grain patterns, and better durability. The use of single-slab wood ensures the integrity and continuity of each part of the chair, reducing splicing marks and enhancing overall quality. In terms of craftsmanship details, the backrest of this chair is richly carved with elements such as a circular Phoenix and Peony Facing the Sun design, and a Kirin stepping on a hundred treasures pattern. These carved patterns not only possess extremely high artistic value but also carry rich cultural meanings, such as the phoenix symbolizing good fortune and the peony representing wealth. Additionally, the chair features soft lines, and craftsmanship details like the sunken and raised panels, and the bamboo-shaped armrests with a 'bamboo reports peace' design, further showcase exquisite craftsmanship, making the chair not only practical but also highly ornamental.

Style and Value

In addition to the aforementioned models with exquisite carvings, there are also Dahong office chairs and boss chairs included in office furniture sets worth millions of yuan. These chairs are made from Hongmu with a black and red hue, a material that is inherently precious and highly recognizable in the market due to its unique color and grain patterns. Among them, the fully carved chairs boast a luxurious and grand overall style. The fully carved craftsmanship requires artisans to possess superb skills and rich experience, enabling them to carve intricate patterns and shapes on the surface of the chair. This luxurious and grand style is suitable for placement in offices or larger study spaces, not only enhancing the overall grade of the space but also showcasing the taste and status of the user.
