Customers for Office Chairs

Admin October 17, 2026

The customer base for office chairs can be primarily divided into three categories: modern office customers, cost-effective customers, and decoration-related customers, with significant differences in product needs among these groups.

Modern office customers are mainly enterprises or individuals pursuing innovative office models, with typical scenarios including SOHO spaces, LOFT-style public spaces, and creative parks. These customers have demands for office furniture that are personalized and functionally flexible: on the one hand, they emphasize the decorative nature of office chairs, preferring simple and stylish design styles to match open and free office environments; on the other hand, they have high requirements for functional flexibility, such as adjustable height, rotation, and folding designs, to adapt to multi-scenario usage needs. Additionally, these customers also pay a certain amount of attention to the environmental friendliness and ergonomic design of products and are willing to pay a premium to enhance office comfort.

Cost-effective customers are mainly small and medium-sized enterprises, start-up teams, or individual users with limited budgets, with the core need being high cost-performance ratio. These customers have relatively basic requirements for the appearance and structural craftsmanship of office chairs and are more concerned with whether the price is low and whether the durability meets standards. For example, they may prioritize basic mesh chairs or leather chairs over high-end ergonomic chairs. For this group, furniture manufacturers need to reduce costs through measures such as optimizing the supply chain and simplifying designs while ensuring that products meet basic usage needs to attract price-sensitive customers.

Decoration-related customers are represented by decoration companies or design studios. As intermediaries, they incorporate office furniture procurement into their overall decoration services and earn profits or commissions through bulk purchases. These customers are an important large-customer channel for furniture manufacturers due to their large order volumes and high stability. For example, a decoration company may purchase dozens of office chairs at once for an enterprise office space decoration project. Furniture manufacturers need to maintain these customers by providing customized services (such as color and size adjustments) and establishing long-term cooperative relationships (such as rebate policies), while also leveraging their channels to expand more potential orders.

In addition, furniture manufacturers can also accurately locate potential customers through digital tools (such as the Maisui system), for example, by screening users who have proactively inquired about product manuals or quotations and conducting targeted promotions based on customer personas (such as industry type and office scale) to improve customer acquisition efficiency.
