The Crown Office Chair is the first office chair product independently planned and launched by Toyota Boshoku for the retail market. It is based on the driver's seat of Toyota's luxury car, the 'Crown (CROWN)', and belongs to the 'Crown Premium Selection Series'.

Core Configurations and Functions

1. Automotive Technology Adaptation: It retains the core configurations of automotive seats, such as a seat ventilation system with built-in fans, heating functionality, and an electronic control unit (ECU) for controlling heating and other functions, all independently developed by Toyota Boshoku.
2. Office Scenario Adaptation: Components unnecessary for office scenarios, such as airbags, have been removed. The seatbelt buckle has been repurposed into a USB port, balancing practicality with design aesthetics.
3. Adjustability: The backrest, lumbar support, and seat surface positions can be finely adjusted, following the same logic as automotive seats. It supports electric recline, height adjustment, seat cushion forward tilt angle adjustment, and lumbar support functions to meet personalized sitting posture needs.
4. Battery Life: A rechargeable battery is located beneath the rear of the seat. After charging for 1 hour, the heater can operate continuously at maximum output for 7.5 hours, making it suitable for long hours of office use.

Collaborative Development and Limited Sales

1. Joint Development: The seat height adjustment and armrest structures were jointly developed by Toyota Boshoku and ITOKI, a Japanese office furniture giant, ensuring a balance between functionality and ergonomic design.
2. Limited Edition Release: Only 70 chairs are available globally. Purchasing eligibility for units beyond this limit will be determined by lottery. Priced at 495,000 yen (approximately RMB 21,600), it is positioned in the high-end market.

Sales Channels

The product is sold at six Crown specialty stores across Japan, including 'THE CROWN Tokyo Toranomon' and 'THE CROWN Aichi Takatsuji'. Leveraging Toyota's premium retail network, it enhances the product's scarcity and brand value.
