Treatment of Cowhide Office Chairs

Admin October 19, 2026

The treatment of cowhide office chairs mainly includes three aspects: stain removal, peeling repair, and daily maintenance.

Stain Removal

  • Vinegar for Stain and Odor Removal: Mix white vinegar and water in a certain proportion, pour the mixture into a spray bottle, and gently spray it on the stains. Let the mixture sit on the stains for a while, then gently scrub in a circular motion with a soft cloth to effectively remove stains and odors.
  • Baking Soda Paste for Stain Removal: First, evenly sprinkle baking soda powder on the leather chair. Then, spray leather cleaner all over it. Wait for 2 - 10 minutes to allow the baking soda and cleaner to fully react. Next, scrub in a circular motion with a sponge, and finally wipe it clean with a cloth.
  • Professional Stain Removal with Leather Cleaner: You can use professional products such as Misscell leather cleaner. These products can efficiently break down stains while nourishing the leather surface, keeping the leather chair soft and textured.
  • Toothpaste for Removing Small Stains: Squeeze an appropriate amount of toothpaste on small stains on the leather chair. Let it sit for a while, then gently scrub with a soft-bristled brush to remove small stains.

Peeling Repair

  • Minor Wear or Stains: Gently wipe and clean with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, spray the cleaner on the stains and then gently wipe with a damp cloth. Be careful not to use overly harsh cleaners.
  • Obvious Cracks or Peeling: Use transparent glue for repair. First, clean the surface of the office chair. Apply the glue to the cracked or peeled area. Place a heavy object on the glued leather surface to keep it flat. Wait a few minutes to ensure the glue is completely dry, and the color of the repair glue should be similar to that of the office chair.
  • Severe Damage: It is recommended to use a professional repair agent. When purchasing, pay attention to matching the color and texture with the office chair, and use an appropriate amount.
  • Ineffective Repair: You can replace the seat cover or directly replace the office chair.

Daily Maintenance

Regularly clean the cowhide office chair and avoid contact with corrosive substances. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the surface of the chair and keep it dry and clean. Regularly use a fixed leather protector spray for protection to extend the chair's service life and maintain its aesthetics. Place the chair in a location with less contact and collision, such as a corner or against a wall, to reduce the probability of touching sharp objects.
