Convenient Office Chair Packaging
Admin October 09, 2026
The packaging of convenient office chairs should select appropriate packaging methods and materials based on the chair type and structural characteristics, and follow standardized operating procedures to ensure transportation safety.

I. Selection of Packaging Dimensions
The dimensions of packaging boxes for mainstream e-commerce office chairs typically range from 80-120cm in length, 60-80cm in width, and 20-40cm in height. Specific adjustments should be made according to the chair type:
- Basic Swivel Chairs: The packaging box dimensions are generally close to those of a double-door refrigerator, with a standard size of approximately 110cmร70cmร30cm, suitable for foldable or modular chairs.
- Gaming Chairs: Due to the inclusion of accessories such as headrests and lumbar supports, the packaging thickness needs to be increased by 10-15cm to accommodate the additional components.
- High-end Executive Chairs: With thicker cushions, a common size is 120cmร80cmร40cm, requiring sufficient space to prevent deformation from compression.
II. Recommended Packaging Materials
- Shock-Resistant Combination: Prioritize the use of honeycomb cardboard combined with pearl cotton. Honeycomb cardboard is structurally stable and compressible, reducing packaging volume; pearl cotton is soft and impact-resistant, particularly suitable for protecting vulnerable parts such as chair leg plating.
- New Eco-Friendly Materials: The combination of air columns and shrink wrap is becoming increasingly popular. Air columns form a buffer layer through inflation, while shrink wrap tightly adheres to the chair to secure its structure, reducing transportation volume by 20% compared to traditional cardboard boxes and lowering packaging costs.
III. Packaging Operating Procedures
- Disassemblable Chairs:
- After disassembly, wrap the components separately and use stretch wrap to layer them, preventing scratches during transportation.
- The protruding parts such as chair legs should be wrapped tightly individually to avoid deformation from collisions.
- Non-Disassemblable Chairs:
- First, wrap the chair horizontally with bubble wrap for two layers, then vertically cross-wrap to ensure full coverage and cushion transportation pressure.
- The stretch wrap and bubble wrap should be wrapped at least 3-5 layers to prevent loosening.
- Utilization of Original Packaging:
- If the original packaging is intact, the wrapped chair can be directly placed into the original box to reduce secondary packaging costs.
- If the original packaging is lost, use rigid cardboard to cut an appropriately sized outer box and install rigid angle protectors at the corners to prevent damage from compression.
- Labeling:
- Affix warning labels such as โFragileโ and โHandle with Careโ on the packaging surface to remind handlers of proper operating procedures.
IV. Special Precautions
- Vulnerable parts such as plated components and leather surfaces require special protection, with increased thickness of pearl cotton or bubble wrap.
- After packaging, check that all components are securely fixed to prevent damage from shifting during transportation.
