Computer Office Chair Fixation
There are several main methods for fixing computer office chairs:

I. Using Chair Fixing Feet Chair fixing feet are specially designed accessories that can be installed at the bottom of the chair to achieve stable fixation. Their fixing effect is remarkable, effectively preventing the chair from sliding or shifting during use, especially suitable for scenarios with high fixation requirements, such as laboratories and precision instrument workstations. However, the drawback of this method is inconvenience in movement. If the chair position needs to be adjusted, the fixing feet must be removed first, and the operation is relatively cumbersome.
II. Using Wheels with Brakes Some computer office chairs are equipped with wheels with brakes, allowing users to fix the chair by locking the wheels. During specific operation, all five wheels need to be locked simultaneously to ensure the chair is completely stationary; after unlocking, the chair can move freely. However, this method has certain limitations: firstly, the locking and unlocking operations require handling five wheels simultaneously, which is a cumbersome process; secondly, if one forcibly moves while sitting on the chair, it may shorten the lifespan of the wheels or even cause damage; thirdly, improper use (such as incomplete locking) can easily lead to safety hazards.
III. Using Gravity Self-Locking Wheels Gravity self-locking wheels are an intelligent design whose core principle is to use gravity for automatic locking. When the user sits on the chair, the wheels automatically lock due to gravity, preventing sliding; when the user stands up, the gravity disappears, and the wheels return to a sliding state. This method combines the convenience of fixation and movement without manual operation, suitable for daily office scenarios. However, it should be noted that if the ground is uneven or the wheel quality is poor, it may affect the locking effect.
IV. Installing Rough Carpets By laying rough carpets under the chair, the friction between the chair and the ground can be increased, thereby restricting the chair from sliding. This method is simple to operate and low-cost, suitable for scenarios with low fixation requirements, such as home offices or temporary use. However, its fixing effect is greatly influenced by the carpet material and ground flatness. If the carpet is too thin or the ground is smooth, the expected effect may not be achieved.
V. Backrest Angle Fixation Operation The backrest adjustment function of some computer chairs involves fixation operations, with specific methods varying depending on the adjustment mechanism:
- Knob-type adjustment: Rotate the knob counterclockwise to unlock the backrest angle, adjust to the appropriate position, and then rotate the knob clockwise to fix it.
- Lever-type adjustment: Pull up the lever to unlock the backrest lock, adjust the angle, and then release the lever, and the lock automatically engages to fix the position.
- Wrench-type adjustment: Turn the wrench to unlock the backrest function, adjust the angle, and then return the wrench to complete the locking.
Users need to choose the corresponding adjustment method according to the chair model and ensure proper operation to avoid damaging the chair or affecting usage safety.
