Admin October 09, 2026
There are various types, prices, and installation and replacement methods for computer chair and office chair casters

I. Common Types and Prices
The types of computer chair and office chair casters are diverse, and prices vary based on material, size, and functionality.
- Silent Office Chair Universal Casters: Made of special silent materials, these casters produce low noise when rotating, making them suitable for environments requiring high levels of quietness, such as offices or home studies. The price is approximately ยฅ13.0.
- 2-inch/2.5-inch TPR Silent Wheels: TPR material combines wear resistance with silent operation. The 2-inch and 2.5-inch sizes can fit different chair leg dimensions, with a price of approximately ยฅ8.5, offering high cost-effectiveness.
- Cross-border Amazon 2-inch Universal Wheels: Designed specifically for export, these wheels are lightweight and have flexible steering. Prices can be as low as ยฅ0.67, making them suitable for bulk purchases or users with limited budgets.
II. Installation Method
Taking the T37 hollow caster as an example, the installation steps are as follows:
- Position the Tray Direction: Point the arrow on the tray towards the front of the seat cushion to ensure the caster rotation direction aligns with the chair movement direction.
- Align the Holes and Protrusions: Align the backrest with the holes on the seat cushion, ensuring one side of the hole fits with the protrusion on the backrest. Press gently until fully embedded.
- Check Stability: After installation, gently shake the chair to confirm that the casters are firmly connected to the tray, with no looseness or abnormal noise.
III. Steps for Replacing Casters
If a caster is damaged and needs replacement, follow these steps:
- Lay the Chair Down: Turn the chair upside down so that the chair legs face upwards for easier operation.
- Remove the Old Caster: Hold the force core (central axis) of the old caster and pull it out in the opposite direction. If it is stuck, gently tap around the force core with a rubber mallet to assist in removal.
- Install the New Caster: Align the force core of the new caster with the hole on the chair leg and press it inwards along the hole direction. A clicking sound indicates that it is properly installed.
IV. Precautions
- Before installation, confirm that the caster specifications match the chair legs to avoid incompatibility issues.
- Avoid excessive force during replacement to prevent damage to the chair legs or caster force core.
- Regularly clean the casters to prevent dust or debris from getting stuck and affecting smooth rotation.
By choosing the right type of caster and mastering installation and replacement techniques, you can effectively extend the lifespan of your computer chair and enhance the user experience.
