Poor Quality of Company Office Chairs
The poor quality of company office chairs can be reflected in multiple aspects such as quality, health, design, comfort, and usage and maintenance.

Quality Issues: According to inspections by the State Administration for Market Regulation, some office chairs have stability problems. They are prone to tipping over when leaning forward, backward, or sitting sideways, increasing the risk of injury. If the five-star base of a swivel chair is of substandard quality, it may break during use, leading to falls. Unqualified caster wear shortens the chair's lifespan. In addition, the plastic components of inferior office chairs are fragile, the wheels are inflexible, or the structure is unstable, further affecting safety.
Formaldehyde Exceeding the Standard: Office chair materials may release formaldehyde. Especially in poorly ventilated office environments, long-term exposure can cause health problems such as respiratory irritation and allergic reactions, posing a potential threat to employee health.
Non-ergonomic Design: Nearly half of company office chairs have "hidden ergonomic defects." Although they may appear undamaged, long-term use can harm the waist and cervical spine. A qualified office chair should have five adjustable functions: seat height adjustment, lumbar support, seat depth adjustment, armrest height adjustment, and backrest damping adjustment. The lack of these functions can lead to improper sitting postures, physical fatigue, leg numbness, increased pressure on the lumbar intervertebral discs, impaired blood circulation in the calves, sore trapezius muscles, and even affect work efficiency.
Poor Comfort: A hard or overly soft seat cushion and insufficient back support directly affect the user experience. Using uncomfortable office chairs for a long time may cause physical discomfort in employees, thereby reducing work efficiency and even leading to health problems.
Improper Usage and Maintenance: Chairs with wheels are prone to sliding on smooth or uneven surfaces, and accidental movement of the chair when sitting down can cause injuries. In addition, insufficient daily maintenance, such as loose screws or untimely replacement of aging components, also increases usage risks and affects the overall performance and lifespan of office chairs.
