Company Office Chair Installation

Admin October 14, 2026

The installation steps for a company office chair are as follows. It is recommended to proceed from the bottom up:

  1. Install the casters and chair base Align each caster with the mounting holes on the chair base, press firmly or rotate to secure them, ensuring each caster is firmly installed. After that, insert the gas lift vertically into the center hole of the chair base, ensuring the bottom of the gas lift is fully flush with the chair base. The gas lift is the core component for adjusting the seat height and must be kept vertical to avoid wobbling during subsequent use.

  2. Secure the seat plate and seat Place the seat plate on the bottom of the seat, paying attention to the orientation of the seat plate (usually marked or with grooves corresponding to the seat structure). After aligning the screw holes, use a screwdriver to screw each screw in 3-4 turns to ensure the seat plate is initially positioned, and then tighten all the screws one by one. This step requires avoiding loose screws that could cause the seat plate to become unstable and affect the chair's stability.

  3. Connect the backrest and seat Align the bottom sides of the backrest with the armrest mounting holes on both sides of the seat and slowly insert them to the bottom. First, use 2 screws to secure the bottom of the backrest from the bottom of the armrest bracket to ensure an initial connection between the backrest and the seat; then align the mounting holes at the back of the backrest with the corresponding holes on the seat bracket, and use screws to penetrate from the back and tighten them to complete the firm fixation of the backrest and the seat. This step requires checking whether the backrest is vertical to avoid tilting that could affect the user experience.

  4. Install the gas lift and seat Align the bottom of the assembled seat with the top of the gas lift and press down vertically to fully insert the holes on the seat plate over the gas lift. This step requires ensuring a tight connection between the gas lift and the seat to avoid the seat detaching from the gas lift during use, which could pose a safety hazard.

  5. Install the armrests and headrest Press the button below the armrest surface (some models require pressing the buckle), insert the left and right armrests into the holes on the armrest brackets respectively, and a 'click' sound indicates they are properly installed. When installing the headrest, place it in the middle at the top of the backrest, press firmly on the headrest mounting area to make it flush with the backrest, and then use a screw to pass through the headrest fixing buckle and tighten it to ensure the headrest is stable and does not wobble.

Precautions:

  • Before installation, check that all accessories are complete to avoid having to redo the work due to missing parts halfway through.
  • When tightening the screws, do it in stages to avoid over-tightening a single screw, which could cause the threads to strip.
  • After installation, adjust the gas lift to test whether the seat height can be raised and lowered smoothly and check that all components are stable and free of abnormal noises.
