Common Office Chairs

Admin October 09, 2026

Common office chairs are mainly divided into two categories: narrow and broad, and with changing demands, high-end types such as ergonomic chairs are becoming increasingly popular.

From a narrow perspective, common office chairs refer to backrest chairs used for desk work while sitting. These chairs are typically designed simply, primarily meeting basic sitting needs, providing users with relatively comfortable support to enable them to focus on their desk work. Their backrests generally have a certain curvature to fit the curve of the human back, reducing back pressure; the seat surfaces also have a certain degree of softness to avoid discomfort from prolonged sitting.

Broadly speaking, common office chairs encompass all chairs used in offices, with a wider variety of types. Among them, executive chairs are relatively common and are typically used in the offices of company executives or managers. Executive chairs have a luxurious design, usually made of high-quality materials such as genuine leather or high-grade fabric, not only having a grand appearance but also offering extremely high comfort. Their backrests and seat surfaces are usually relatively wide, providing all-around support, and may also be equipped with adjustable headrests, armrests, and other functions to meet the different sitting needs of users.

Staff chairs are also an important type of broad office chairs, widely used in the office areas of ordinary employees. The design of staff chairs focuses on practicality and cost-effectiveness, usually made of relatively common materials such as artificial leather or ordinary fabric. Their functions are relatively simple but can also meet basic sitting support needs. Some staff chairs also have certain adjustment functions, such as seat height adjustment, to accommodate users of different heights.

As people's attention to the comfort and health of the office environment continues to increase, high-end office chairs such as ergonomic chairs are gradually gaining popularity. Ergonomic chairs are designed according to ergonomic principles, able to better fit the human body curve, providing precise support for various parts of the body, effectively reducing fatigue and injuries caused by prolonged sitting, and improving work efficiency and physical health.
