Common Office Chair Specifications
The specifications for common office chairs are as follows:

Seat Height: Typically ranges from 40 cm to 55 cm. The standard seat height is concentrated in the 40 - 50 cm range. It is recommended to prioritize models with an 8 - 12 cm height-adjustment function, allowing for adjustment to a comfortable position based on height. For example, individuals who are 170 cm tall need to adjust the seat to around 43 cm so that the thighs and calves hang naturally at a 95ยฐ angle. Fixed-height seats are generally between 40 and 45 cm, but models with a wider adjustment range (38 - 48 cm) can accommodate people of different heights from 1.6 meters to 1.9 meters.
Seat Width: Usually between 45 cm and 55 cm. It is necessary to ensure that the buttocks are fully in contact with the seat surface to avoid lateral compression due to a narrow seat or to prevent instability in sitting posture due to an overly wide seat.
Seat Depth: Generally ranges from 35 cm to 45 cm. A standard seat depth of 40 - 45 cm can meet the needs of 95% of adults. When purchasing, note that after sitting with the buttocks fully on the seat, there should be a 2 - 3 finger gap between the back of the knee and the seat surface to avoid compressing the leg blood vessels. Users taller than 185 cm need to choose an extended seat with a depth of up to 50 cm to prevent thigh suspension and fatigue.
Backrest Height: The backrest height of medium-back office chairs usually does not exceed the waist position, roughly between the waist and shoulders. The backrests of executive office chairs may be higher and more complex in design. Mid-to-high-end office chairs generally feature a 50 - 60 cm curved backrest, providing support for the 4th to 6th lumbar vertebrae of the human body. If there is an independent lumbar support, its width is recommended to be 25 - 30 cm to provide precise support.
Special Models: Chairs with headrests can reach a total height of 120 cm. For split designs, note that the thickness of the connecting steel plate should be 6 - 8 mm to ensure structural stability.
Other Adjustment Functions: The armrest height is usually designed to be adjustable within a range of 20 - 30 cm, and maintaining a 5 cm gap with the underside of the desk is most conducive to arm movement. Some ergonomic chairs add seat tilt adjustment (5ยฐ forward tilt and 15ยฐ backward tilt) and headrest height adjustment (with a vertical travel of about 15 cm), which can further adapt to different work scenarios.
