Disadvantages of Common Office Chairs
The disadvantages of common office chairs are mainly reflected in deficiencies in comfort, functionality, safety, adaptability, and durability.

Poor Comfort: Common office chairs are designed primarily for daily office sitting postures, with upright backrests that provide insufficient support for the neck and waist. Maintaining a straight posture for long periods can place significant pressure on the neck and waist, leading to soreness and discomfort. During naps, they fail to offer sufficient reclining angles and soft support, making it difficult to relax and enter a deep sleep state.
Functional Limitations: Common office chairs often lack adjustable headrests, making it difficult to effectively support the head during naps. This can result in the neck being left unsupported or twisted, affecting sleep quality and even causing stiff neck. The seat cushion lacks sufficient softness and elasticity, leading to numbness in the buttocks and legs and poor blood circulation after prolonged sitting.
Safety Hazards: Common office chairs are not designed for napping. After falling asleep, the body relaxes and may unconsciously change positions, such as sliding or tilting, increasing the risk of falling off the chair. Chairs without armrests or with simple support structures pose even more obvious safety hazards.
Lack of Adjustability and Poor Adaptability: Professional office chairs can be adjusted according to height and body shape, including seat cushion height, backrest angle, and armrest position, to accommodate different sitting habits. Common office chairs have limited adjustment functions and fixed sizes. Being too high or too low can lead to poor blood circulation in the legs, and the inability to adjust the backrest angle prevents it from fitting the curve of the back, exacerbating physical fatigue after prolonged use.
Durability and Safety Concerns: Common office chairs may experience structural loosening after long-term and frequent use, and there is even a risk of tipping over. Their fabrics and structures are mostly lightweight designs, which are prone to wear and deformation after prolonged sitting, resulting in a much shorter service life compared to professional office chairs.
