Comfortable Office Chair Production
Admin October 17, 2026
The production process of a comfortable office chair involves multiple meticulous steps, covering frame construction, component assembly, and surface treatment.

I. Frame Construction
- Bottom Frame Formation: Workers use hydraulic-powered machines to bend square steel tubes into specific shapes, creating the frame for the bottom cushion and connecting the ends. Steel bars are welded in the middle to support the seat adjustment mechanism, ensuring structural stability.
- Elastic Support System: S-shaped steel springs are hung from the front to the back of the seat frame to provide elastic support; horizontal bars are placed to increase stability and prevent deformation after long-term use.
- Back Frame Construction: This includes assembling components such as the spinal support structure and armrest attachments. The steel surface needs to be smoothed to remove burrs, preventing scratches on the leather or affecting assembly accuracy.
II. Component Assembly
- Base Installation: The base is placed upside down on a fixture, and casters, a pneumatic cylinder, and a tilt mechanism are installed sequentially. Machine fixation ensures smooth forward and backward tilt functions.
- Armrest and Control Device: The armrest is fixed with bolts, cables are threaded through, and a control lever is installed to adjust the seat height and tilt angle.
- Seat Cushion and Backrest Fixation: The seat cushion support device is installed, and the seat cushion and backrest are fixed to the armrest, ensuring they are aligned and securely connected.
- Armrests and Lumbar Support: Three-dimensional armrests are fixed with screws to the armrest pads, and control levers are installed to adjust the height and angle; Y-shaped lumbar supports can support the back and support multi-directional adjustment to accommodate different body types.
III. Surface Treatment
- Leather Cutting and Sewing: After smoothing the leather, patterns are cut according to cardboard templates, bypassing natural flaws and ensuring consistent color and texture. The leather is glued to foam cushions, pleats are sewn to form the shape of the seat back, and the seat cushion leather and decorative strips are sewn together to enhance aesthetics.
- Overall Wrapping and Fixation: The foam pad is wrapped around the metal frame surface, and the sewn-up cover is put on, with the shielding plate and frame fixed. The adjustable armrests, hydraulic rods, pneumatic rods, and bottom support rods are assembled, the seat wheels are installed, and finally, the headrest and armrests are inserted to complete the assembly of the entire chair.
Throughout the process, strict control over material quality and process precision is required, such as the bending angle of the steel and the cutting error of the leather, to ensure the comfort, durability, and safety of the final product.
