Cleaning Fabric Office Chairs
The following methods can be used to clean fabric office chairs, and an appropriate solution should be selected based on the degree of stains and available tools:

1. Using a Fabric Upholstery Cleaner
Suitable for cleaning large areas or deep-seated stains. First, add water to the clean water tank and optionally add a small amount of fabric cleaner to enhance the effect. Select the high-temperature cleaning mode after reassembling. Press and hold the water spray button to thoroughly wet the chair surface, ensuring that foam covers the stained areas (no need to worry about excessive wetness as the dirty water will be collected by the machine). Use the accessory with a brush head and a dirty water suction port to scrub and remove the dirty water simultaneously, effectively removing dust and stubborn stains embedded in the fibers. After cleaning, empty the dirty water tank promptly to prevent bacterial growth.
2. Combining a Vacuum Cleaner with Cleaner
For daily dust and light stains. First, use the crevice tool of the vacuum cleaner to clean the chair surface, focusing on areas with accumulated dust such as seams and folds. For stubborn particles, gently loosen them with a soft-bristled toothbrush and then vacuum them up. Then, spray a carpet-specific cleaner and use a brush to work the cleaner into the fibers. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes, then repeatedly wipe with a dry fiber towel, paying special attention to hidden areas such as the connection between the chair back and the seat cushion. This method prevents moisture from penetrating and causing the internal frame to become damp.
3. Cleaning with a Soft Cloth, Soft-Bristled Brush, and Soapy Water
Suitable for treating local stains. Wipe the chair surface with a slightly damp soft cloth to remove loose dust. Dissolve neutral soap in warm water to make soapy water, dip a soft-bristled brush into it, and gently scrub the stained areas. For stubborn oil stains, use a small amount of dish soap for focused cleaning. After scrubbing, rinse repeatedly with a clean cloth dampened with water until no soap residue remains. Finally, place the chair in a cool, well-ventilated area to dry, avoiding direct sunlight to prevent the fabric from fading or hardening. After it is completely dry, it can be briefly placed in the sun for sterilization.
4. Cleaning with a Specialized Cleaner
Choose a neutral cleaner labeled as suitable for sofas or carpets, avoiding products containing bleach or strong alkalis. Spray the cleaner onto the stained areas and gently scrub in the direction of the fibers with a soft-bristled brush. Do not scrub vigorously to prevent the fabric from deforming. After cleaning, use a dry towel to absorb excess liquid and allow the chair surface to air dry in a slightly damp state. It is particularly important to control the amount of water used to prevent liquid from penetrating the internal filling and causing mold or frame corrosion.
5. Using a Specific Cleaner
For aged stains or yellowed areas, a spray-type cleaner containing deep-cleaning factors can be selected. Spray it directly onto the dirty areas, let it sit for 2-3 minutes, and then scrub back and forth with a soft-bristled brush. Stubborn dirt can be removed without excessive force. After cleaning, wipe the surface with a slightly damp cloth, and you will notice a significant brightening of the fabric color. This method is easy to operate, but choose a product with a neutral pH value and no corrosiveness to avoid damaging the fabric surface coating.
