Chinese-style Office Chair Installation

Admin October 17, 2026

The installation of a Chinese-style office chair generally follows the installation process of a general office chair, with the specific steps outlined below:

First, prepare for installation. After receiving the goods, carefully check the inventory list to ensure that all components are present. Common components include one backrest, one headrest, a pair of armrests, one five-star base (the decorative cover is only available for steel bases), 7 coarse screws, six short screws (fine screws), and five wheels, among others. Also, prepare the necessary tools for installation, such as a screwdriver.

Next, begin the actual installation. Step 1: Install the casters and chair base. Attach the five wheels to the five-star base, ensuring that each wheel is securely installed and can rotate freely. After installing the chair base, insert the gas lift vertically into the center of the base. The gas lift is an important component for adjusting the height of the office chair, so ensure that it is installed accurately and vertically.

Step 2: Secure the base plate and seat. Use screws to fix the base plate to the seat. When tightening the screws, pay attention to applying moderate force to avoid stripping the screws or damaging the seat and base plate. Ensure that the base plate and seat are tightly connected without any looseness.

Step 3: Connect the backrest and seat. Link the backrest and seat in an appropriate manner. The connection methods may vary slightly depending on the office chair, with some being fixed by screws and others by snap-fit connections. Follow the instructions in the manual to ensure that the backrest and seat are firmly connected, forming a stable upper body structure.

Step 4: Install the seat and gas lift. Take the seat part with the backrest installed and insert the base vertically onto the gas lift, ensuring that it is fully inserted and can support the weight of the chair.

Finally, install the armrests and headrest. Attach the armrests to the appropriate positions on both sides of the seat and secure them with screws. Then, install the headrest on top of the backrest, ensuring that it is also securely installed. After installation, check that all components are correctly installed and free of any looseness. Then, perform simple adjustments, such as adjusting the height of the gas lift and checking that the wheels rotate freely.
