China Office Chair Pass Rate

Admin October 08, 2026

The pass rate of office chairs in China varies among different inspection batches, with a pass rate of 76.7% in the 2025 inspection and 85.1% in the latest inspection.

According to the inspection results from the State Administration for Market Regulation, the pass rate of office chairs is not constant but fluctuates due to factors such as inspection time and batch quantity. In 2025, the State Administration for Market Regulation inspected 90 batches of office chairs and found that 21 batches were unqualified, with a pass rate of 76.7% and an unqualified rate of 23.3%. This data reflects that there was a certain proportion of quality issues in the office chair market at that time, which may involve multiple aspects such as materials, craftsmanship, and safety performance. The existence of unqualified products not only may affect consumers' user experience but also pose potential threats to the health and safety of users.

In the latest inspection, the State Administration for Market Regulation inspected a total of 101 batches of office chairs and found that 15 batches were unqualified, with the pass rate increasing to 85.1% and the unqualified rate decreasing to 14.9%. This change indicates that with the strengthening of market supervision and the improvement of industry standards, the overall quality level of office chairs has improved. Enterprises may have paid more attention to product quality control and strengthened management in aspects such as raw material procurement, production process monitoring, and finished product inspection, thereby reducing the outflow of unqualified products.

The improvement in the pass rate of office chairs is a positive signal for consumers. It means that consumers have a higher probability of choosing products with reliable quality and up-to-standard safety performance when purchasing office chairs. At the same time, this also encourages enterprises to continue strengthening quality management, enhance product competitiveness, and promote the healthy development of the entire industry. However, despite the improvement in the pass rate, there are still some unqualified products in the market. Therefore, consumers should remain vigilant when making purchases, choose formal channels, and carefully check the quality certification marks and relevant information of the products.
