Chang'an Office Chair Renovation
The renovation of Chang'an office chairs can be carried out according to the following steps, and the operations should be flexibly adjusted according to the actual condition of the chair:

I. Thorough Cleaning and Disassembly If the chair's fabric needs to be replaced, first remove the old fabric. Use tailor's scissors or specialized tools to carefully peel off the fabric, avoiding damage to the frame; at the same time, use a staple remover to clean up any remaining staples to prevent hand injuries during subsequent operations. If the chair frame needs to be treated, first remove soft parts such as the seat cushion and backrest, then use a soft cloth dipped in a neutral detergent to wipe the frame surface. Stubborn stains can be treated locally with alcohol wipes. For mesh chair surfaces, rinse them with a showerhead and then dry them in a well-ventilated place to avoid deformation caused by exposure to the sun.
II. Replacement of Damaged Parts and Frame Repair Check easily damaged parts such as wheels and gas cylinders: When replacing a gas cylinder, turn the chair upside down, gently tap the old cylinder with a rubber mallet to loosen it, and then pull it out. When installing a new cylinder, ensure that the interface is aligned; wheels are mostly designed for direct plugging and unplugging, and choosing silent universal wheels can enhance the user experience. For wooden or metal frames, check the structural stability: If the chair legs are loose or the connections are cracked, use wood glue (for wooden frames) or metal corner brackets (for metal frames) for reinforcement. After repair, sand the frame surface with 240-grit sandpaper to remove burrs and old paint layers, ensuring a smooth and flat surface and providing a good foundation for subsequent treatment.
III. Surface Treatment Apply anti-rust paint to the areas where the metal frame has lost paint to prevent the spread of rust; scratches on plastic parts can be faded by gently heating with a hot air gun (at a distance of 10-15 centimeters) to avoid deformation due to high temperatures. If painting is required, choose an environmentally friendly wood paint (such as water-based paint or Sanqing paint), apply it in 2-3 thin coats with a roller or brush, with an interval of 2-3 hours between each coat. Use a small brush to touch up the gaps or details, and finally lightly sand the surface with fine sandpaper to improve the paint adhesion. If the fabric needs to be replaced, choose wear-resistant fabric (such as tech fabric or canvas), and cut it about 5 centimeters larger than the frame size, leaving a fixing edge; after covering the frame with the fabric, pull it tight from the center to theๅๅจ, and fix it every 3 centimeters with a pneumatic staple gun or manual U-shaped staples to ensure that the fabric is flat and wrinkle-free.
Precautions: If the chair involves complex structures (such as gas cylinders or rotating bases) or precious materials (such as solid wood or genuine leather), it is advisable to consult professional repair personnel first to avoid further damage due to improper operation; after renovation, ventilate and dry for more than 24 hours before use to ensure that the paint or glue smell has completely dissipated and to ensure safety in use.
