Caster Office Chair Adjustment
The adjustment of caster office chairs mainly includes five aspects: mobility, height, backrest, armrest, and caster locking. The specific operations are as follows:

1. Mobility Adjustment
The mobility of caster office chairs relies on the universal wheel structure, which features a dual-bearing design for smooth 360ยฐ rotation. Some high-end models are equipped with gravity self-locking wheels that automatically brake when seated to enhance stability. When adjusting the position, for regular ergonomic chairs, stand to the side of the chair, locate the circular lever or toggle at the connection between the chair leg and seat, press it, and push the chair to the desired position. Release the lever to automatically lock it in place. For models with castered five-star bases, be mindful of avoiding wires or debris when pushing to prevent damage from collisions.
2. Height Adjustment
The seat height is controlled by a gas lift (gas spring), which uses changes in nitrogen gas pressure to enable lifting and lowering. To adjust, locate the handle at the bottom of the chair and pull or push to change the seat height, ensuring chair stability during the process. The gas lift has a weight capacity range of 100-200kg and a lifting range of approximately 10-15cm. Avoid severe impacts during use to prevent gas leakage and functional failure.
3. Backrest Adjustment
Backrest adjustment relies on a reclining mechanism, which comes in three types:
- Synchronous Reclining: The backrest and seat cushion move together, following ergonomic design principles;
- Free Reclining: The backrest adjusts independently, commonly found in gaming chairs;
- Adjustable Resistance: The recline force is controlled by a knob.
To adjust, rotate the knob at the back of the chair: lifting it upward allows for a reclined sitting position, relaxing the lower back and neck; lowering it keeps the backrest upright, suitable for long working hours. Some high-end models also feature adjustable lumbar support or 4D armrests for enhanced comfort.
4. Armrest Adjustment
Armrests typically support vertical movement or inward/outward angle adjustments to accommodate different sitting postures. During adjustment, customize the armrest height and angle according to personal preference to provide support for the arms and elbows, reducing fatigue during prolonged office work.
5. Caster Locking
To ensure stability during use, the casters at the bottom of office chairs are usually equipped with a locking function. When you need to fix the position, press or toggle the corresponding switch to lock the casters; when you need to move, unlock them for easy relocation. The operation is simple, allowing users to switch as needed at any time.
