Placing Office Chairs in Cars
Cars can accommodate office chairs, but handling strategies need to be adjusted according to the vehicle model, and proper securing and protective measures should be taken. Specific operations should be planned from the following aspects:

Vehicle Model Adaptation Plans Need to Be Adjusted According to Vehicle Type
SUV or MPV models (such as the Tiguan L) can directly accommodate a complete office chair or only require disassembly of a few components (such as armrests and headrests) due to their large trunk openings and adjustable floor platforms. Regular sedans (such as the Corolla) have limited space and require the chair to be disassembled into multiple parts, including legs, backrests, and armrests, for separate packing. If the chair's height exceeds the door height (such as gaming chairs), the backrest can be tilted 45 degrees for placement, or a small truck can be used for transportation to avoid insufficient space.
Disassembly and Packaging Require Careful Handling
Detach all removable components such as legs, armrests, and headrests, and wrap them in soft cloth or bubble wrap to prevent scratches on the car's interior. If the chair has a modular design (such as a detachable backrest), the handling process can be further simplified. After disassembly, place screws and small parts in sealed bags and store them properly to avoid loss or scattering. Pre-pack larger components into large bags or cardboard boxes to reduce awkwardness during handling due to size mismatches.
Handling and Securing Must Comply with Safety Regulations
Place towels or bubble wrap at the contact points between the chair and the car door to protect the door and interior. Use ropes or straps to secure the chair inside the vehicle to prevent sliding and impact during sudden braking. According to regulations, transporting personal items in a private car does not count as mixed passenger and cargo transportation, but it is necessary to ensure that the items are secured and do not obstruct the driver's view or rearview mirrors. If the chair is too large, adjust the seat angle or fold the rear seats to expand the space.
Preparation and Communication in Advance Can Reduce Disputes
Before handling, measure the chair's dimensions to confirm whether it fits the trunk or rear seat space of the vehicle. After disassembly, be sure to communicate the handling requirements with the driver, explaining that the chair has been disassembled and will not cause placement issues. If the chair has special dimensions or is difficult to handle, negotiate an appropriate increase in fees. When placing the chair, handle it gently to avoid scratching the car's paint or interior, reducing unnecessary compensation disputes.
