Butterfly Office Chair Disassembly
The disassembly of a butterfly office chair can be carried out by referring to the following steps:

I. Preparation Turn the chair over so that the seat faces down and place it on a soft and flat surface to avoid scratches on the chair's surface or damage to its components due to collisions with hard objects. At the same time, prepare the necessary tools for disassembly, such as Allen wrenches, wrenches, and rubber mallets.
II. Disassembly of the Seat Cushion and Backrest Connection In most butterfly office chairs, the seat cushion and backrest are fixed with screws. Use an appropriate screwdriver (such as an Allen wrench) to unscrew the screws at the connection points. If the screws are rusty or difficult to turn, you can add a small amount of lubricating oil to assist in the disassembly. Be sure to keep the removed screws safe to avoid losing them.
III. Disassembly of the Armrests The armrests are usually fixed to both sides of the seat with Allen screws. Use an Allen wrench to unscrew the fixing screws of the armrests and gently shake the armrests to separate them from the seat. If the armrests are tightly connected to the seat, you can first lightly tap the bottom of the armrests with a rubber mallet to help loosen the connection.
IV. Separation of the Gas Lift and the Base The gas lift and the base of the office chair are connected by an interference fit. Pulling directly may damage the gas lift or cause it to pop out and injure people. The correct method is to lightly tap the side of the connection between the base and the seat cushion with a rubber mallet to gradually loosen and separate the base. If the gas lift and the base are too tightly connected, you can try to use a wrench to hold the bottom of the gas lift and tap the edge of the base with a rubber mallet in coordination.
V. Disassembly of the Seat (if further disassembly is required) If the seat and the backrest are fixed as one unit, you need to disassemble the backrest first (follow the same steps as for the seat cushion and backrest connection). If the seat can be disassembled separately, use a wrench to unscrew or a screwdriver to remove the remaining screws on the base and take the seat off the gas lift. Be careful to maintain balance during the operation to avoid the seat suddenly falling.
Precautions:
- Avoid using excessive force during the disassembly process to prevent deformation or damage to the components.
- Classify and store the removed screws and small parts for easy subsequent assembly.
- If the chair has a complex structure or is difficult to disassemble, it is recommended to refer to the product manual or contact a professional repair technician.
