Bow-Back Office Chair Installation
Admin October 12, 2026
The installation process for a bow-back office chair (bow-shaped chair) can be divided into the following steps, which must be carried out strictly in order and with attention to key details:

1. Install the Armrests
- Distinguish between left and right armrests: Determine the direction based on the markings ("left"/"right") and use 2 short screws (without washers) to initially connect the armrests to the backrest. Ensure that the screw holes are aligned during this step to avoid forcing the screws in and causing stripping.
- Secure the armrests to the seat cushion: Place the seat cushion upside down and use 4 long screws (with washers) to attach the armrests to the cushion. Manually screw in each screw 2-3 turns first to confirm proper alignment before using tools to tighten them, preventing rework due to misaligned screws.
2. Secure the Base and Legs
- Connect the chair legs to the base: Use 4 short screws (with washers) to fix the I-shaped legs (or chair legs) to the base. Tighten the screws in stages: first screw each one halfway, then gradually tighten them all the way to avoid tilting the base due to uneven pressure.
- Adjust the crossbar screws: If there is a crossbar between the chair legs, use thick screws (e.g., 8*25) to secure both legs. Ensure the tightening force is moderate, as excessive force may deform the legs or affect the balance of the seat.
3. Install Accessories and Finalize
- Use screws according to type: Select the appropriate screws based on their model (e.g., short thin screws 618 for small parts, long thin screws 630 for reinforcing armrests) to avoid structural instability caused by mixing screws.
- Install decorative parts: Attach small accessories such as decorative caps and black pads according to the instructions, usually to cover screw holes or increase friction.
- Check the overall structure: After installation, gently shake the chair to confirm that all parts are tightly connected without looseness or unusual noises.
Precautions
- Screw tightening order: All screws must be tightened in stages, especially at the connection between the base and chair legs, to prevent structural misalignment due to over-tightening on one side.
- Model differences: The number and specifications of screws may vary for different models (e.g., 908 bow-shaped legs, 109069 black chair). Always refer to the specific instruction manual or video tutorial (search for "bow-shaped chair installation video + model" to obtain).
- Safety tips: Avoid using excessive force with power tools during installation to prevent screw stripping or part damage. If alignment is difficult, recheck the orientation of the parts or screw specifications.
It is recommended to watch the installation video for the corresponding model before installation to gain an intuitive understanding of the process, which can significantly improve installation efficiency and reduce errors.
