Boss Office Chair Maintenance
Admin October 11, 2026
Boss office chair maintenance should be approached from three aspects: cleaning, usage habits, and environmental maintenance. Here are the specific methods:

I. Cleaning and Maintenance
- Leather Boss Chairs:
- Dust Removal: When there is a heavy buildup of dust, avoid wiping directly with a dry cloth. Instead, scatter wet newspaper shreds on the floor to absorb dust, paying special attention to the hard-to-reach corners around the chair's casters.
- Stain Removal: For oil stains, coffee stains, etc., mix salt with salad oil and rub in a circular motion. Avoid using harsh cleaning agents such as gasoline or turpentine.
- Regular Care: Use a dedicated leather cleaner monthly for maintenance. In dry, air-conditioned rooms, apply a moisturizing cream quarterly. Do not use cleaners containing alcohol or strong alkalis, and reduce the frequency of wiping with a damp cloth.
- Fabric Boss Chairs:
- Use a cotton sock dipped in a neutral cleaner to clean areas such as armrest gaps and chair back creases. For stubborn stains, use a toothbrush dipped in foam cleaner to brush along the fabric texture.
- For mesh chairs, first wipe with clean water, then use a semi-damp cloth to handle water stains. For stubborn stains, use a small brush dipped in a mild alkaline detergent to gently scrub the mesh pores.
II. Usage Habit Maintenance
- Adjusting the Correct Sitting Posture:
- The seat height should allow both feet to rest flat on the floor, with the thighs and lower legs forming a 95-100 degree angle. Those who are shorter can use a footrest for support.
- The lumbar support point should precisely align with the natural curve of the lower back, maintaining a 15-degree forward convexity of the spine. A towel or memory foam lumbar support can be used to fill any gaps.
- The top edge of the monitor should be level with the line of sight to avoid looking down or up. The armrest height should allow the elbows to rest naturally, with the forearms and upper arms forming a 90-degree angle.
- Maintain a dynamic sitting posture, getting up and moving every 30 minutes, or practicing the '20-20 rule' (standing against a wall for 20 seconds every 20 minutes of sitting).
- Avoiding Improper Behaviors:
- Prevent direct sunlight from causing material aging and fading, avoid heavy objects pressing on the chair to prevent deformation, and do not use a dry cloth to wipe dust, leave cleaning agent residue, or expose the leather surface to the sun.
III. Environmental Maintenance
- Maintaining Ventilation and Dryness: Prevent mold and bacteria growth, especially in humid southern regions where ventilation should be enhanced.
- Regular Inspection and Maintenance:
- Tighten the screws at the connection points of metal fittings quarterly, repair scratches with a matching paint pen, and in humid environments, wipe monthly with a dry cloth dipped in anti-rust oil. Do not use steel wool or rough cloths.
- Use a vacuum cleaner monthly to clean dust accumulated at the chair's base swivel points to avoid affecting the lifting function.
