Boss Chair Office Chair Details
The boss chair (executive chair) is a type of office chair in a broad sense, primarily used in manager offices and senior supervisor areas in office buildings. Details are as follows:

Common Upholstery Materials
- Leather Type: Often made of PU leather or genuine leather. Genuine leather executive chairs are more expensive but offer better breathability, though with limited color options. PU leather is relatively more affordable.
- Mesh Type: Provides good breathability, commonly found in smaller office chairs and also used in executive chairs. Mesh executive chairs offer a wide range of color choices but are relatively inconvenient for daily cleaning and maintenance, as the seat cushion is prone to collecting small debris, making them suitable for summer use.
- Other Materials: May also include artificial leather (PU leather), linen fabric, etc. These materials have their unique textures and applicable scenarios.
Common Components
Typically composed of wheels, a five-star base, a gas lift, a chassis, a seat, armrests, a backrest, and a headrest. The seat is made of wood, foam, and upholstery material. The backrest may use a steel frame or plastic frame combined with mesh. The chassis is commonly made of metal with a mechanical explosion-proof mechanism. The armrests may have 3D lifting and rotation functions. The gas lift is used to adjust the height, with a travel distance of up to 80mm. The chair wheels are mostly made of PA material, supporting omnidirectional rotation. The chair feet are made of nylon.
Functional Features
Equipped with height and tilt adjustment functions, commonly using gas lift adjustment. The design usually considers human sitting posture, conforming to ergonomic principles. With industry development, products increasingly focus on ergonomic design and are evolving towards intelligence, with some products integrating intelligent monitoring and automatic adjustment functions.
Usage and Maintenance
- Usage Method: Generally using gas lift adjustment, sit on the chair, hold the adjustment handle under the seat and gently lift it upwards while slightly raising your body to release the gas lift. After reaching the appropriate height, release the handle to lock it. Adjustments should be made smoothly, setting the chair to a suitable height where your feet are flat on the ground and your thighs are parallel to the ground. Regularly check the adjustment components and avoid overloading to ensure safety.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: For genuine leather executive chairs, generally wipe with a clean soft cloth. For long-term stains, first wipe with a warm water-diluted neutral detergent and then remove the cleaning solution with a damp cloth. For fabric executive chairs, remove dry stains by patting or using a vacuum cleaner. If stained with beverages or fruit juices, first absorb the water with a paper towel and then wipe with a warm water-neutral detergent. Metal fittings should be regularly wiped with an oiled cloth and a mild detergent, and rust spots should be promptly repaired and painted. The chair wheels need to be regularly cleaned of lint and fibers to ensure smooth sliding. When moving the chair daily, lift it gently and avoid prolonged direct sunlight. When in use, try to keep the center of gravity in the middle of the gas lift. Do not sit on the armrests or place overly heavy objects. After prolonged use, check if the screws, springs, and knobs are loose.
