Black Office Chair Cleaning

Admin October 09, 2026

The cleaning of black office chairs requires selecting appropriate methods based on the material, mainly divided into two types: leather and fabric. The specific cleaning steps are as follows:

Cleaning of Leather Office Chairs

  • Treatment of ordinary stains: If the stains are light, you can use a damp cloth dipped in soap to evenly wipe the stained area, maintaining consistent wiping force; or soak a soft cloth with warm soapy water or a special furniture cleaner (avoid making it too wet) and gently wipe the seat surface, armrests, and backrest, ensuring even force. If there is no special cleaner, you can dilute a small amount of neutral detergent or soap with water and use it, but avoid using cleaners containing acidic or alkaline substances to prevent damage to the leather.
  • Treatment of stubborn stains: For dark dirt, you can directly apply hand cream to the stained area, wipe it repeatedly, and then clean it with a cloth. This method can remove dirt and make the leather chair shine; if it is genuine leather, it is recommended to use a special leather cleaner. Apply 10% of the cleaner to the dark area to easily remove the stains; for stubborn stains such as ink and oil stains, you can drop vinegar, alcohol, or a professional cleaner on a clean towel and gently wipe the stained area to avoid spreading.
  • Subsequent treatment: After wiping, rinse the soft cloth with clean water and wring it out. Wipe the chair surface again to remove any remaining cleaner. Then dry it with a clean towel and let the chair dry naturally. If you need to use it urgently, you can use a hairdryer on the low-temperature setting to blow-dry it from a distance to avoid high-temperature damage to the leather.

Cleaning of Fabric Office Chairs

  • Treatment of severe stains: You can first spray a special potion to decompose the stains and then perform a comprehensive deep cleaning.
  • Daily cleaning: Use a household vacuum cleaner to thoroughly remove dust from the chair. Before vacuuming, wipe the vacuum head to ensure the effect; if there is no vacuum cleaner, you can move the chair to an open area and lightly pat the seat surface to make the surface dust fall off.
  • Deep cleaning: If the stains are stubborn, after vacuuming or patting, you can use a soft-bristled brush dipped in a neutral detergent to scrub locally, or send it to a professional agency for steam cleaning to avoid direct soaking that may cause the fabric to deform.
