Pre-shift Chairs and Office Chairs
Pre-shift chairs are a type of office chair, designed as supporting furniture for specific scenarios within the classification system of office seating. Along with executive chairs and mid-back chairs, they fall under the category of office chairs, but differ in functional orientation, design features, and usage scenarios.

From a functional perspective, pre-shift chairs are specifically designed as supporting seating for reception or meeting scenarios in front of executive desks. Their core function is to meet short-term, high-frequency reception needs, emphasizing practicality and scenario adaptability. Office chairs, on the other hand, represent a broader concept, encompassing various types such as executive chairs, mid-back chairs, staff chairs, and conference chairs. Their functions cover a wide range of scenarios including daily office work, meetings, and management, with a greater focus on comfort and functional diversity for prolonged use.
In terms of design features, pre-shift chairs typically have no armrests or feature solid wood armrests, with a simple design. The materials are primarily genuine leather or breathable mesh fabric, with frames made of either solid wood or steel. The upholstery includes cowhide and PU leather, following ergonomic design principles. This includes solid wood armrests designed according to the human body's curves, concave, thickened seat cushions, and extra-wide backrests to alleviate arm fatigue and support the natural posture of the lumbar spine. Some models incorporate mechanical swivel functionality for 360-degree automatic return. The design of office chairs varies by type; for example, executive chairs are usually equipped with adjustable headrests, lumbar supports, armrests, and pneumatic height adjustment functions, with materials emphasizing luxury and durability. Staff chairs prioritize lightness and adjustability to meet the needs of prolonged office work, while conference chairs emphasize lightness and ease of movement, suitable for multi-person meeting scenarios.
Regarding usage scenarios, pre-shift chairs are primarily placed in front of executive desks for reception or meeting scenarios, serving as dedicated seating opposite the boss's desk, with an emphasis on compatibility and scenario adaptability with the executive desk. Office chairs, however, are widely used in various scenarios such as offices, conference rooms, and negotiation areas, with different types of seating selected according to different job roles and functional requirements.
