Poor-Quality Office Chairs

Admin October 10, 2026

Office chair brands with quality issues include AutoFull Gaming Chairs, Liuliudeng, and Hbada Computer Chairs. Some non-compliant products also pose safety risks such as explosions, fires, and excessive formaldehyde levels.

I. Specific Brands and Quality Issues

  1. AutoFull Gaming Chairs: User feedback focuses on quality defects and service issues. Common problems include unstable chair structures (squeaking, tilting forward), easily damaged components (failure of the backrest telescopic rod, broken wheels, peeling leather, loose protective plates), and air rod leaks. More seriously, some users have pointed out that the cost of OEM products of the same model is only 200 yuan, questioning the mismatch between brand premium and quality.
  2. Liuliudeng: It has been exposed for using inferior filling materials, with internal fillings including moldy wooden boards, waste sponges, and even construction waste, posing serious health hazards. The supplier once requested consumers to delete the exposure video and claimed that such operations were common in the industry, raising public concerns about quality control in the office chair industry.
  3. Hbada Computer Chairs: Quality issues involve structural damage to multiple parts, such as broken legs, cracked chassis, damaged chair backs, broken metal bases, sagging mesh, and completely broken screws. In addition, poor customer service attitudes and difficulties in repairs outside the warranty period further exacerbate user dissatisfaction.

II. Safety Risks and Industry-Wide Issues
CCTV has exposed three major safety risks associated with non-compliant office chairs:

  1. Explosion Risk: Inferior gas springs that have not passed safety certification may explode due to abnormal internal gas pressure or external impact, posing a serious threat to user safety.
  2. Structural Fracture Risk: Five-star bases with thin walls and insufficient strength are prone to breaking under load, causing users to fall and get injured.
  3. Health Risks: Some products do not have explosion-proof steel plates installed or use materials with excessive formaldehyde levels, which may cause health problems with long-term use.

III. Purchase Recommendations

  1. Prioritize products that have passed international safety certifications such as BIFMA and SGS, focusing on the materials and craftsmanship of key components like gas springs and five-star bases.
  2. Avoid purchasing products with abnormally low prices, be wary of promotional claims such as "OEM products of the same model," and verify the brand's production qualifications and after-sales policies.
  3. After receiving the product, check that the filling is odorless and the structure is stable, and keep the purchase receipt for future rights protection.
