Automatic Parking Office Chair
The Automatic Parking Office Chair is Nissan's Intelligent Parking Chair, which can autonomously move to a preset position after being triggered by specific commands. Its technology is derived from automotive intelligent parking systems, but it is not available for sale in the market.

Technical Composition and Working Principle
This office chair operates through the collaboration of a power section and a control section. The power section includes a motor beneath the chair and 360-degree rotatable wheels. The motor provides the driving force, while the wheels enable flexible multi-directional movement. The control section relies on four sensors located in the corners of the room (or motion cameras mounted on the walls) to conduct real-time panoramic scans of the office environment. These sensors or cameras transmit environmental information to a computer, which uses algorithms to plan the movement path for each chair. After completing the calculations, the computer sends the precise parking positions to each chair via Wi-Fi. Upon receiving the commands, the chair's motor drives the wheels to move along the planned path, ultimately returning automatically to the nearest available spot.
Technical Origin and Core Principles
Its drive motor and homing principle directly utilize Nissan's intelligent parking assistance technology. In the automotive field, intelligent parking systems use sensors to perceive the surrounding environment, with the computer planning the parking path and controlling the vehicle to automatically complete the parking maneuver. The office chair has transplanted this technology into its own system, achieving autonomous movement and homing through a similar sensor-computer-actuator architecture.
Application Scenarios and Limitations
Currently, these office chairs are primarily used to promote Nissan's automatic parking systems, showcasing Nissan's technological prowess in intelligent control, sensor technology, path planning, and other areas. They are not available for sale on the market. Their application scenarios are limited to specific exhibition environments, such as offices and showrooms, and require pre-ๅธ็ฝฎ (pre-arrangement) of sensors or cameras and planning of parking positions, imposing certain environmental requirements.
