Automatic Office Chair Installation
Admin October 19, 2026
The installation steps for an automatic office chair can be divided into four stages: basic installation, backrest and armrest installation, headrest installation, and special handling for electric models. These steps should be carried out sequentially from bottom to top, paying attention to the order and tightness of screw tightening.

I. Basic Installation
- Chair Wheel and Foot Assembly: Insert each chair wheel into the mounting holes of the five-claw (chair foot) one by one, ensuring that each wheel is fully embedded and free from looseness. After completion, flip the five-claw so that the wheels face downward, forming a stable support structure.
- Gas Lift Installation: Align the thicker end of the gas lift with the center hole of the five-claw, place it vertically, and gently press down until fully inserted. The gas lift is the core component for adjusting the seat height, so ensure it is installed vertically and securely.
- Base and Seat Cushion Connection: Place the base on the bottom of the seat cushion, paying attention to the base orientation (usually indicated by markings or notches for alignment). Align the screw holes, then screw in the screws 3-4 turns sequentially, and tighten them one by one to avoid excessive force on one side causing the base to tilt.
- Seat Cushion and Gas Lift Connection: Align the hole at the bottom of the seat cushion with the top of the gas lift, press down vertically until fully inserted into the base hole, ensuring a tight connection without wobbling.
II. Backrest and Armrest Installation
- Backrest Fixation: Align the bottom sides of the backrest with the armrest mounting positions on both sides of the seat cushion. Insert first and secure the bottom of the backrest with screws from the bottom of the armrest brackets. Then, align the mounting holes at the back of the backrest with those on the seat cushion brackets, and tighten the screws with a tool.
- Armrest Installation: Press the button below the armrest surface, insert the left and right armrests into the holes of the armrest brackets respectively, and confirm that the buckles are in place upon hearing a 'click' sound to prevent the armrests from loosening and affecting use.
III. Headrest Installation
- Initial Positioning: Place the headrest in the middle position at the top of the backrest, press down on the headrest mounting area to make it fit more closely with the backrest surface, ensuring that the headrest aligns with the curvature of the backrest.
- Screw Fixation: Pass screws through the headrest fixing buckles, screw them in 3-4 turns for preliminary fixation, and then tighten them one by one to prevent the headrest from tilting or falling off.
IV. Special Steps for Electric Models (e.g., E108D Model)
- Five-Star Foot and Gas Lift Assembly: Insert the gas lift into the center hole of the five-star foot, ensuring it is vertical and free from deviation.
- Seat and Footrest Connection: Install the seat onto the footrest, align the backrest pin with the seat hole, and insert it to confirm that the buckle is in place.
- Wiring Connection: After installing the headrest, connect the battery wiring and backrest function wiring (such as massage and heating modules), and check that the wiring is properly connected to avoid short circuits or poor contact.
- Armrest Reinforcement: Install the armrests and tighten the screws to ensure that the electric adjustment functions (such as lifting and rotation) operate normally.
General Precautions
- Installation Order: It is recommended to proceed from bottom to top, prioritizing the completion of bottom structures such as casters, chair feet, and gas lifts, and then gradually moving upward to install components such as the seat and backrest.
- Screw Handling: When tightening screws, proceed in a cross pattern (e.g., tighten the diagonal screws first) to avoid deformation of components due to unilateral force; the tightness should be based on the principle of 'tight but not stripped'.
- Safety Inspection: After installation, shake the chair to confirm that there are no abnormal sounds or looseness; for electric models, test all functions (such as lifting and tilting) to ensure they are normal.
