Assembly of Ordinary Office Chairs
It is recommended to assemble an ordinary office chair from the bottom up. The specific steps are as follows:

Step 1: Install the Chair Base and Gas Lift
Attach each caster wheel to the chair base one by one, ensuring that each wheel is tightly engaged with the base's clips or threads to prevent looseness. After installation, insert the gas lift vertically into the center hole of the chair base. Confirm that the bottom of the gas lift is fully flush with the base to prevent tilting or damage due to uneven force during subsequent use. The gas lift is the core component for adjusting the seat height, so it must be kept vertical during installation to avoid affecting its function due to tilting.
Step 2: Secure the Seat Plate to the Seat
Place the seat plate on the bottom of the seat and use the provided screws to fix it to the seat through the pre-drilled holes on the plate. Tighten the screws to an appropriate level of force to ensure the plate is secure without deforming the seat or plate due to excessive force. The seat plate usually contains adjustment mechanisms (such as tilt locking and height adjustment). Before installation, check if these functions are normal, for example, by pressing the tilt button to confirm smooth rebound.
Step 3: Connect the Backrest to the Seat
Connect the backrest to the seat through the pre-designed slots or screw holes. If it is a clip-on design, align the slots and press firmly until you hear a 'click' sound to confirm a secure connection. If it is fixed with screws, use the provided screws to tighten the backrest to the seat, ensuring that the screws on both sides are tightened symmetrically to prevent the backrest from tilting. After this step, the upper body structure of the chair is basically formed, and you can briefly sit on it to check if the connection between the backrest and the seat is stable.
Step 4: Install the Seat Assembly onto the Gas Lift
Vertically insert the seat assembly (including the backrest and seat plate) onto the top of the gas lift. Apply vertical force during insertion to avoid damaging the gas lift or shifting the seat due to side force. After insertion, gently shake the seat to confirm that it is securely connected to the gas lift without any wobbling or looseness.
Step 5: Install the Armrests and Headrest
Depending on the design, the armrests may be fixed with screws or connected with clips. For screw fixation, align the screws with the pre-drilled holes on both sides of the seat and tighten them to an appropriate level of force. For clip-on connection, align the clips with the slots and press to secure. The headrest is usually installed by inserting the adjustment rod into the pre-drilled hole at the top of the backrest. After insertion, adjust it to the appropriate height and confirm that the locking mechanism is engaged.
Special Tips (Deli Office Chairs):
- Ball Installation: The ball bearings (such as those on the caster wheels) of Deli office chairs can be directly pressed into the corresponding holes without additional tools.
- Seat Installation: Place the seat bottom-up first, insert the screws from the bottom into the pre-drilled holes, then flip the seat and tighten the screws. Align with the indicator arrows on the seat during installation.
- Backrest Installation: If the backrest is fixed with two screws, slightly separate the connection between the backrest and the seat during installation to provide operating space for the screws and avoid installation difficulties due to a compact structure.
