Assembly of Home Office Chairs

Admin October 22, 2026

Refer to the following steps for assembling a home office chair:

Step 1: Install the Chair Wheels and Gas Lift Insert each chair wheel into the assembly holes of the five-star base, ensuring that each wheel is fully seated. Flip the five-star base so that the wheels face downwards, align the thicker end of the gas lift with the center hole of the five-star base, place it vertically, and gently press down until it is fully embedded. Pay attention to the orientation of the gas lift in this step; the thicker end is the bottom, and the thinner end is the top, to avoid installing it backwards and preventing subsequent connection to the seat cushion.

Step 2: Secure the Base Plate to the Seat Cushion Place the base plate on the bottom of the seat cushion, noting the orientation of the base plate (usually marked with โ€œFrontโ€ or โ€œFRONTโ€). Align it with the four screw holes on the seat cushion. Screw in each of the four screws 3-4 turns to ensure the base plate is initially secured, then tighten each screw fully. Avoid loose screws in this step to prevent the base plate from becoming loose and affecting safety during use.

Step 3: Connect the Seat Cushion to the Gas Lift Align the center hole at the bottom of the seat cushion with the top of the gas lift, press down vertically to fully insert the seat cushion into the connection hole of the gas lift. Ensure that the seat cushion is vertically aligned with the gas lift in this step to avoid damage to the gas lift or instability of the seat cushion due to misalignment.

Step 4: Install the Backrest and Armrests Align the two sides at the bottom of the backrest with the armrest installation holes on both sides of the seat cushion, first insert the bottom of the backrest, and use two C-screws to pass through from the bottom of the armrest bracket to initially secure the bottom of the backrest. Then align the installation holes at the back of the backrest with the holes on the seat cushion bracket, and use two wrenches in conjunction with D-screws (usually locking screws) to fully secure the backrest to the seat cushion bracket. Ensure that the backrest is perpendicular to the seat cushion in this step to avoid tilting and affecting comfort.

Step 5: Insert the Armrests Press the button below the armrest surface (some models require pressing), insert the left and right armrests into the holes of the armrest brackets respectively, and a โ€œclickโ€ sound indicates that they are properly installed. Pay attention to the orientation of the armrests in this step, ensuring that the button faces forward for easy subsequent adjustment.

Step 6: Secure the Headrest Place the headrest in the middle position at the top of the backrest, press the installation area of the headrest to make it fit more closely with the backrest. Pass two E-screws through the headrest fixing clips, screw in each screw 3-4 turns initially, and then tighten each screw fully. Ensure that the headrest is perpendicular to the backrest in this step to avoid tilting and affecting neck support.

Special Note: Some office chairs (such as Deli office chairs) have a simpler design, where the ball installation can be done by directly pressing the internal structure, and there are indicator arrows to assist; models like the Sihoo C300Ultra also have a relatively simplified assembly process, but the core steps (such as gas lift connection and backrest fixation) still need to follow the above logic. It is recommended to read the instruction manual before assembly to ensure proper operation.
