Assembly Guide for Office Chairs
Refer to the following steps for assembling an office chair:

I. Preparation of Tools and Materials
Before assembly, ensure that all components are complete, including chair legs, casters, base, seat, gas lift, backrest, armrests, headrest, etc., and prepare a screwdriver as a tool. All parts should be free from damage or missing pieces. The gas lift should be checked for air leaks (by pressing test), and the base screws should be confirmed to match the specifications to avoid assembly failure due to part issues.
II. Specific Assembly Steps
Install Chair Legs and Casters
Align each caster with the mounting holes on the chair legs and press firmly until fully engaged, ensuring tight contact between each caster and the chair legs without looseness. After installation, gently shake the chair legs to check if the casters rotate smoothly, avoiding stuttering or detachment during use due to improper installation.Secure the Gas Lift
Insert the gas lift vertically into the center hole of the chair legs, ensuring the bottom of the gas lift is fully flush with the chair legs. Note: The gas lift should be kept upright to avoid instability during subsequent base installation. The gas lift is the core component for adjusting seat height; avoid scratches or impacts during installation to prevent air leaks and failure.Connect Base to Seat
Place the base on the bottom of the seat, align the screw holes, and tighten the fixing screws with a screwdriver. Key Point: Tighten the screws in a diagonal sequence to avoid uneven stress on the base, which could cause deformation. The base usually comes with adjustment knobs (e.g., for recline tension, height locking); after installation, check if the knobs are flexible and ensure normal functionality.Assemble Backrest to Seat
Align the connecting rod of the backrest with the slot or screw holes on the back of the seat, securing it with screws or directly snapping it in (depending on the design). If secured with screws, ensure they are tightened and the backrest is perpendicular to the seat to avoid wobbling during use. Some backrests have adjustable features (e.g., height, angle); test the adjustment for smoothness after installation.Insert Base into Gas Lift
Align the assembled seat (including base) vertically with the top of the gas lift and press down slowly until fully inserted. Note: Maintain balance during this step to avoid damaging the gas lift due to tilting. After insertion, gently shake the seat to check for stability, without looseness or unusual noises.Install Armrests and Headrest
Depending on the design, armrests may be screwed onto the sides of the seat or the bottom of the backrest; align the holes and tighten the screws. The headrest is usually secured to the top of the backrest with clips or screws; adjust to a suitable height during installation to ensure comfortable head support.
III. Final Inspection
After assembly, thoroughly check that all screws are tightened and components are properly installed, and test seat functions (e.g., height adjustment, recline, armrest adjustment) to ensure no abnormalities before use.
