Angle-Adjustable Office Chair
Admin October 22, 2026
The common types, adjustment mechanisms, angle selection, and precautions for angle-adjustable office chairs are as follows:

Common Types
High-end ergonomic chairs are typical representatives of angle-adjustable office chairs, featuring multiple adjustment functions, including seat height, recline angle, lumbar support, and armrest height. For example, the Sihoo B300PRO and the Woshi Tiance series chairs support recline angle adjustment. Among them, the Woshi Tiance ULTRA and AIR-75 models allow for a maximum recline angle of 145 degrees, with multiple locking positions to meet users' needs for recline angles in different scenarios.
Adjustment Mechanisms
- Lever Adjustment System: Usually located beneath the seat, pulling or pushing the lever releases the locking mechanism. After adjusting to the desired recline angle, pushing or pulling the lever again locks it in place. This operation is relatively simple and straightforward.
- Knob Adjustment System: Positioned at the lower part of the seat, the recline angle and tension are adjusted by rotating the knob. Rotating the knob clockwise increases the resistance during recline, making it more difficult for the chair to recline; rotating it counterclockwise reduces the resistance, allowing for easier recline. Users can adjust flexibly according to their own needs.
- Pneumatic Adjustment System: Generally arranged together with the height adjustment lever, pushing the lever in different directions enables smooth recline angle adjustment. This adjustment method is relatively convenient and allows for quickly achieving the desired recline angle.
Selecting the Appropriate Recline Angle
- When focusing on work, it is recommended to choose a smaller angle, such as between 100 and 110 degrees. This angle range allows the user to maintain a relatively upright sitting posture, which is conducive to concentration and improving work efficiency.
- When relaxing and thinking, a larger angle can be chosen. A slightly reclined posture (between 100 and 110 degrees) can effectively reduce lumbar pressure. The key is to ensure that the back, especially the lumbar region, is in contact with the backrest, so as to fully leverage the chair's support function and relieve lumbar fatigue.
Adjustment Precautions
- Ensure Chair Stability: When adjusting the recline angle, avoid excessive angles that may cause the chair's center of gravity to shift and result in tipping over, ensuring safety during use.
- Adjust Lumbar Support Position: Adjust the lumbar support to the position that supports the natural curve of the lumbar spine. Avoid having the lumbar support press hard against the waist, as this will not only fail to provide support but may also cause harm to the waist.
