Adult Office Chair Fixation

Admin October 11, 2026

Adult office chair fixation can be achieved through methods such as drilling installation, anti-slip pad adhesion, strap tightening, base clip fixation, or locking the recline function. The specific method should be selected based on the usage scenario and chair structure.

  1. Drilling Installation Method
Suitable for scenarios requiring long-term fixation, such as school classrooms or public cafes. First, mark the corresponding points on the chair legs and the ground. Use professional tools to detect and avoid hidden underground water and electrical pipelines to prevent damage to infrastructure. After confirming the position, drill holes with an electric drill and insert expansion screws to firmly connect the chair legs to the ground. This method offers strong stability but leaves permanent holes, making it suitable for places with high fixation requirements where ground modification is acceptable.

  2. Anti-Slip Pad Adhesion Method
Recommended for daily household use, applicable to both tiled and wooden floors. Choose silicone or rubber pads with anti-slip textures on the bottom and cut them to match the size of the chair leg bases. Thoroughly clean the contact surfaces before adhesion to ensure no dust or oil stains, enhancing adhesion. Anti-slip pads prevent chair sliding, reduce friction sounds during movement, and are easy to replace, making them suitable for temporary or frequently adjusted positions.

  3. Strap Tightening Method
Suitable for temporary fixation needs, such as family gatherings or outdoor stalls. Select wear-resistant Velcro straps, cross-wrap adjacent chair legs, and tighten to form a stable arrangement. This method requires no tools, is simple to operate, and can be easily undone after use. The straps are reusable, making them suitable for scenarios requiring quick setup and disassembly.

  4. Base Clip Fixation Method
For gaming chairs or office chairs with built-in accessories, some models come with plastic bases. Install by clipping the base onto the bottom of the chair and pressing it onto the ground, achieving fixation through clip tension. This method requires no drilling and leaves no marks on the ground after disassembly, suitable for users who value a clean appearance and whose chairs support this design.

  5. Locking the Recline Function
If the chair has a recline locking design, the backrest can be fixed in the following ways:

  • Handle/Lever Locking: Common on regular office chairs, located on the right side under the seat. Pull the handle backward while leaning back, release it after reaching the desired angle, and hear a 'click' to lock; reset by pulling the handle again.
  • Knob Adjustment System: Often found on ergonomic chairs, located at the center bottom of the seat. Turn clockwise to increase recline resistance and counterclockwise to decrease; some models require rotating the knob to a specific position or pulling it out to adjust the angle before pressing it back to lock.
  • Push-Pull Button Type: The button may be independently set or integrated beside the handle. Pull outward to unlock the recline, adjust the angle, and press inward to lock.
If shaking or automatic rebound occurs after locking, check for loose screws at the connections, whether the locking mechanism is stuck or deformed, and the air rod's seal (slow sinking may require replacement).
