Methods to Adjust the Height of an Office Chair
There are several main methods to adjust the height of an office chair:

Firstly, finding the hand control device is the crucial first step. When seated in the chair, you can usually raise the corresponding control lever to adjust the height. However, the control methods may vary among different models of office chairs. Some chairs require turning a knob instead of pulling a lever. If you are unsure about the functions of the levers on the chair and do not know which one is specifically for height adjustment, you can read the chair's instruction manual, which will provide detailed operation guidelines. Alternatively, you can try pulling each lever one by one until you find the one that can adjust the height.
Secondly, adjusting the seat height requires mastering the correct method. After finding the lever that controls the height, move the seat until you find a comfortable position. During the adjustment process, move the chair only a few inches (or centimeters) at a time to avoid making it difficult to find the appropriate height due to excessive adjustment in one go. After adjustment, return the lever to its original position to fix the seat height. For some models of seats, the adjustment method may be different. You may need to pull the lever upward to raise the seat and press it downward to lower the seat. Some pneumatic model seats allow you to pump the lever, that is, repeatedly push the lever up and down to raise and lower the seat.
Finally, adjusting from a standing position is also a viable method. If adjusting from a seated position does not achieve the desired height, you can try adjusting from a standing position. Stand beside the chair and adjust the seat height until the front of the chair is just below your knees. At this point, you should be able to sit comfortably on the chair with your feet flat on the ground. This adjustment method ensures that the seat height matches the length of your legs, allowing you to maintain the correct sitting posture when seated and reducing physical fatigue.
In addition, the backrests of some ergonomic chairs can also be adjusted up and down, but this is a different function from seat height adjustment, and you need to pay attention to distinguishing between them during adjustment.
