Adjustable Office Chair Assembly
The assembly of an adjustable office chair can be carried out according to the following steps, and tools such as screwdrivers and wrenches are required:

Preparation After unpacking, check all components, including the backrest, seat cushion, gas lift (height adjuster), five-star base with casters, screw pack, and armrests (if included), and verify against the instruction manual to ensure all parts are present. Check if there is a plastic protective cap on top of the gas lift and remove it in advance if present.
Install the Five-Star Base with Casters Align the casters with the slots at the bottom of the five-star base and press down vertically until they are fully seated. Some models may require rotating the casters to lock them in place. If the casters have brake functions, distinguish the brake direction (usually the brake pads face outward). A clicking sound or increased resistance indicates proper installation.
Install the Gas Lift Insert the thicker end of the gas lift (usually black) vertically into the center hole of the five-star base, ensuring it reaches the bottom. If there is a gap between the gas lift and the five-star base, readjust the angle and reinsert to prevent wobbling during height adjustment.
Attach the Seat Cushion and Backrest Align the backrest with the mounting holes at the back of the seat cushion and secure it with the provided screws (usually 4-6 long screws). Use a screwdriver to tighten the screws diagonally to prevent uneven stress and tilting of the backrest, then fully tighten them. If the chair has armrests, install them first: align the armrests with the screw holes on both sides of the seat cushion and secure them with screws from underneath, ensuring the adjustment buttons face outward for easy operation.
Assemble the Height Adjustment Mechanism Place the seat cushion bottom-up, locate the mounting holes on the base, and slowly press down the thicker end of the gas lift into the holes until it clicks into place. Some models may require rotating the seat cushion to lock the connection. For high-end chairs, install the base adjustment mechanisms (such as tilt and height locks) first, then secure them to the bottom of the seat cushion.
Safety Inspection Ensure all screws are tightened and free of looseness. Test the height adjustment function: sit firmly and move the control lever to check for smooth and unobstructed height adjustment. Verify that the casters roll smoothly and the armrests are stable. If any abnormalities are found, recheck the connections or replace the components as needed.
Precautions: Avoid excessive force during installation to prevent screw stripping or component damage; if the gas lift is difficult to insert, apply a small amount of lubricant to assist; after installation, it is recommended to test the height adjustment function without load to ensure safety before use.
