104 Office Chair Packaging
Admin October 14, 2026
You can refer to the following steps for packaging 104 office chairs to ensure safe and efficient transportation:

1. Disassemble Foldable Components
Prioritize disassembling detachable structures to reduce volume:
- Backrest Panel: Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the fixing screws and separate the backrest from the seat.
- Casters: For swivel chairs, invert the chair and pry open the caster clips to separate the casters from the chair legs.
- Small Parts Management: Place the disassembled screws, clips, etc., into a sealed bag and attach it to the corresponding component with tape to prevent loss.
2. Edge Protection Treatment
Strengthen protection for collision-prone areas:
- Foam Bump Strips: Cut 30cm strips and spiral wrap them around the chair corners, armrests, and other protruding edges.
- Bubble Wrap Envelopment: Use 5cm-wide bubble wrap to wrap the chair corners, gas cylinders, and other parts more than 5 layers to form a buffer layer.
- Reinforce Key Parts: Extra wrapping is required for the gas cylinders to prevent damage from pressure during transportation.
3. Stretch Film Shaping and Reinforcement
Fix the structure with stretch film to prevent it from coming apart:
- Spiral Wrapping Method: Start from the bottom of the chair legs and spiral wrap upwards at a 45ยฐ angle to cover the entire chair.
- Special Structure Handling: Use an 'X' wrapping method at both ends of long benches for reinforcement; wrap folding chairs with 3 circles of stretch film for fixation.
- Operation Suggestion: Use 45cm-wide stretch film and have two people cooperate by rotating the chair while stretching the film for higher efficiency.
4. Overall Envelopment Protection
Choose protection methods based on the material:
- General Envelopment: First, roughly wrap the entire chair with bubble wrap, focusing on covering the chair corners, armrests, and other protruding parts.
- Special Material Handling: For genuine leather or wooden surfaces, first cover them with a soft cloth and then wrap them with bubble wrap to avoid leaving marks from the film surface.
- Fix the Envelopment Layer: Wrap the bubble wrap with plastic wrap to prevent it from coming loose.
5. Packing and Sealing Specifications
Choose an appropriate packing box and seal it properly:
- Box Selection: Choose a five-ply corrugated cardboard box, which has strong load-bearing capacity and impact resistance.
- Packing Method: Invert the chair and place it in the box (chair legs facing upwards). Fill the gaps in the box with crumpled old newspapers and especially cushion the connection between the backrest and the seat.
- Labeling: Mark 'This Side Up' on the box with a thick marker pen and attach red warning tape to fragile parts.
- Sealing Requirements: Apply two horizontal and two vertical strips of tape, reinforce the bottom and seams of the box, and mark 'Fragile' and 'This Side Up' on the front.
By following these steps, you can systematically complete the packaging of 104 office chairs, taking into account both protection and ease of handling.
